My older sister is having a BABY BOY (!!) in July and I couldn't be more excited!
( Shannon at one of her baby showers. We thought it would be funny to get a picture with all of our hands on her belly. =] And yes, she's a blondie and I'm brunette! Weird, huh?)
To show my enthusiasm, I decided to make my sissy-pants and her soon-to-be baby one of those flannel rag baby quilts. I'm sure you've all seen them given at a baby shower at one time or another (or atleast I have...probably because I have been to about a gazillion baby showers over the last year).
Well, I it turned out great and it was fairly easy for me to make (which really means it would be a cinch for anyone else). I was going to do a tutorial for the quilt but I forgot to take pictures of all of the steps....and what's a tutorial without pictures?
So, I found THIS awesome tutorial over at Green Apple Orchard (it's made exactly the same way I made my quilt), just in case any of you wanted to make one...because you should. I'm sure you know at least one person who is pregnant that you could make this as a gift for. It's so soft and comfy; perfect for baby.....or yourself. ;0)
Luckily, I did manage to get a couple pictures of the completed project before I gave it to my sister! I think I'll need to get more pictures of it later with the baby when he gets here. =]

Before I sewed it all together. Don't you love the polka dots? I do! -------->
<----- ^ This was right after I washed it so there are some fuzzies still stuck on it. You can just ignore those, thanks.
<------- My new baby, hard at work. =]

I have been so bad at commenting on your other blog. I'm glad you reminded me about this one too. I just had to drop you a note saying how cute that blanket turned out! And I love the apron! Sounds like you got the crafting bug!
It turned out so cute. Nice work!
